I've practiced a little of this song before, but today I think I got the rhythm down a little better than I did before. I feel like I might even start to remember the chord progression. Let me try to see if I can remember it:

Capo on 3.
G B7 C A7
Repeats for a while.
Three chords in a row: B7 C Am. Followed by D. Twice.
Then to the chorus. C G D G.

The chorus was a little tricky at first, but the key for me was to feel the music and sing along with soul instead of trying to focus too hard on how I heard Eric Hutchingson playing it.

Later, because the fire alarm in the building was triggered, Sinan and I went to the drum room to jam. We brought our guitars and I brought Senzala's electric too. The electric, with sufficient gain was able to match the volume of the drums. Last time we jammed in the drum room with Sinan's guitar, the drum player would have to hold himself back from playing full volume.

Everclear - Wonderful

Played 20100101: This was an easy enough song, that before looking at the tab, I knew the first chord is G, and that the key was in G, and that the other two chords would be D and C, and was pretty sure on the G D C D progression. But not entirely. Though I knew it didn't sound like Brown-Eyed Girl, so it wasn't a G C G D progression. And the music was lively enough to not contain an Am or Em. The Dsus4 does sound better than the D, but I wonder if it should replace the second D as well. G Dsus4 C Dsus4 instead of the below G Dsus4 C D. ::shrug:: If just playing the guitar part as done in the song, the strumming is Strum, Strum Strum, Strum Strum, Strum Strum... where the two strums are strumming one chord from the previous and then the next, i.e., G, G D, D C, C D, D G, etc. But when playing alone, or with only guitars, it's better to be a little creative to fill in the blanks.
