Oasis - Wonderwall [C2]

20091230: The main verse progression I've been able to get for a long time now. But I never remember the chorus and the end of the verse. Nor do I get the very end right, because in the past I think I tried to hard to follow the tab. It's better to listen, and just play whatever sounds right. On a forum, there were the following two useful comments: "Em7 = DDD G = UDUDD Dsus4 = UDUDD A7sus4 = UDUDD" "You can afford to be a little scruffy with Wonderwall - not too much mind you." Easier than next: 1s&s2s&s3s&s4sas5s&s6s&s7s&s8s&s E _ E _ G _ G _ D _ D _ A _ A _ Easy: 1s&s2s&s3s&s4sas5s&s6s&s7s&s8s&s E E E E G G G G D D D D A A A A Translation of "Em7 = DDD; G = UDUDD; Dsus4 = UDUDD; A7sus4 = UDUDD": 1s&s2s&s3s&s4s&s5s&s6s&s7s&s8s&s E E E - -GGGG G -DDDD D -AAAA A First part from tab below: 1s&s2s&s3s&s4s&s5s&s6s&s7s&s

The Eagles - Hotel California

20091229: I've played this many times, before, but the key is to try and remember the chord progression. Here goes: Bm F# Am E G D F# Bm7. G D Em Bm7 G D Em F#. I'll postpone the intro and solo for another time. As such, I only copy and pasted the tab's chord progression. Key: B minor. 20091230,31,20100101: I'm able to memorize the chord progression. I played picking as one of the tabs suggested and it sound pretty good no matter how you decide to pick. I suppose the chord progression is key. And I guess in the end, knowing the chord progression should make the introduction and possibly the solo easier. 20110319: The other day I tried to play this song and all I got was the first four chords: Bm F# A E. So I knew the song was in the key of B minor. The relative major, D major, and hence B minor has Dmaj Emin F#min Gmaj Amaj Bmin C#dim. In addition we have Bmin X X Emaj F#maj X X. In order to get these two chords we have G# and A#. From this we get C#min Daug

Jingle Bells

Played 20091222: At first, I decided the tab would be more useful if I spaced it out closer to how the actual count of the notes was. I could have used the Q,H,E,S notation, but decided not to (Quarter, Half, Eighth, Sixteenth Note, respectively). What I did do here was indicate if I used my fingers (#), strum a chord down (_), or strum a chord up (^). It's unconventional, but I'm doing this mainly for me. After practicing the pre-tabbed melody, I added other voices to give the tab some thickness. Michelle Branch - Goodbye To You [C1]

20091219: To play the song simply, every chord gets two strums. C D G G for the verse. Played This: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/m/michelle_branch/goodbye_to_you_ver2_crd.htm 20110318,20110319: Singing the song gets the chords into the right places. Then it's just playing what feels right. You can throw in extra strums on some of the chords. Look at a couple of tabs, listen to the song, then don't look back and go with the flow.
